The Free Spool Too specializes in a variety of ultra-light
to light tackle as well as fly fishing. We also offer Deep sea & big game fishing, including ocean fishing from near shore, to the
reef, and especially offshore. A variety of fishing awaits you, including tarpon near the
coast, snappers and groupers on the reef, as well as, dolphin, kingfish, wahoo,
tuna and our specialty... sailfish!
All traveling the beautiful blue Gulf stream waters off Miami
and Miami Beach. Captain Dennis is a second generation charter fisherman & has the experience fishing as a full time charter guide & tournament winning captain
in Miami and South Florida since 1982. Although he started out as his fathers second mate at the age of 13 on the Famous 80 foot" Tiki" right out of the same Haulover Park marina around 1976.
We fish out of the Haulover
Marina located on Miami Beach, Florida, between Bal Harbor and Sunny
Isles. Bahamas trips also available. The Free Spool and Capt. Dennis are also
available for local fishing tournaments.
We are available for charters all season, year-round. We offer
full and half day charters, and can take up to six (6) people of any age. The cost of
the fishing trip covers everything except
your food & drinks. We supply all the fishing gear as well as ice, & fishing licenses are always provided.
We offer
split charters, meaning you can book part of a charter and we will arrange others to fish with you, and share the cost of the boat and fishing charter. Call for more info.
It’s just you, the open ocean,
 beautiful South Florida, Capt. Dennis, and the fish. We use live bait, artificial
lure sand flies. You can do it all aboard the Free Spool, lead by a true original,
Captain Dennis Forgione.
