Mack attack
Report Date: October 28, 2007
Fall is the time we start to look for runs of king and spanish mackeral. As the weather gets cooler the bait schools come down from the north. The mackeral follow the bait schools. The photo is yesterdays trip.

Arthur, Chris & Demetrie with a nice catch of kings
|
We anchored in 50 feet of water. Armed with a livewell full of spanish sardines and 12 pound spinning tackle. We had steady action all day. Keeping our limit and releasing the rest. We had kingfish up to 15 pounds and several big spanish mackeral. When kingfish are in a feeding frenzy the action is hard to beat.
