Summertime fishing
Report Date: July 28, 2008
Well after no excuse except being lazy this summer. I finally decided to update my fishing report. The dolphin fishing that we do during the summer months has been pretty good. The fish may take some running around to find, but the schools have been pretty large in numbers once you find them it doesn't take long. Most of the fish have been from about 3-10 pounds. There have been several schools of undersize fish (20 inch min). Usually the fish in a school are close to the same size and you can determine pretty quickly to leave them alone.
If your not into spending the day chasing dolphin or catch your limit early. Fishing the reef has also been productive for summer months. We've been catching limits of kingfish, lots of bonitos and a sailfish here and there.
