Fall Migration

Report Date: November 9, 2008

Miami is a passing point for all migrating fish and the cooler fall months are the time to be there. We've been catching limits of king and spanish mackeral. Probably the most action packed exciting fishing there is. We anchor in shallow water. Sometimes as shallow as 25 feet. A livewell full of sardines and chum the fish to the back of the boat.

Fall fishing

We cast fly rods and lite spinning tackle. The action is nonstop. Farther offshore over the last week or two we've had excellent dolphin (mahi mahi) catching. most of the fish have been between 5-10 pounds. If bottom fishing is your game. Yesterday we anchored on one of our many wreck sites and caught 6 mutton snappers from 8 -12 pounds and an african pompano. Great weather & great fishing. What a combo !!
